In 1999, Kasper began his career as legal counsel at the Affiliates in San Francisco, California. He continued to work as assistant general counsel for Policy Funding, LLC in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2002, he created a private equity firm focusing on financial services technology. In 2006, the private equity firm purchased S&P Mortgage, a small Pittsburg, Pennsylvania mortgage lender. By 2007, he was able to transform this traditional mortgage lender into a financial technology company with projected sales revenue of $5 billion. This was accomplished by Kasper’s creation of the first 24 hour digital mortgage concept.
Kasper and his family reside in Indian Trail, North Carolina. He serves on the Corporate Engagement Committee for Brookstone School; is a member of the Board of Directors, Syracuse University College of Law Alumni Association; and is former President-elect of Charlotte South Rotary. Kasper mentors young men and women who become leaders in finance and law. The family frequently volunteers at the Urban Ministry, the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, and the Harvest Center. Kasper is married to Taria; they have two children: Camille and Kasper, Jr. (“KJ”). They are members of Central Church of God in Charlotte, North Carolina.
